Bringing Design Thinking into Your Practice

1/2 Day

There are too many studies to quote that discuss the things CEOs really care about. I will tell you, they are all saying we need a clearer, improved focus on the customer. Using Design Thinking approaches in your work is a way to get that clear focus. Design thinking has a long history…it is not new. Design thinking has evolved and has moved into your world.

Experience problem solving in a different way starting with the customer experience. Learn by doing and see how being part of a design team can get your team focusing on what the customer really needs. Design Thinking is about collaboration. We won’t just talk about collaboration in this session. You’ll get to feel it.

Expected Outcomes

  • Learn ways to keep a focus on the customer
  • Know how to discover the customer’s context and pain points, what holds them back and what they aspire to achieve so your team can build the right solution
  • Create a customer journey map and discuss how you can bring this back to your organization
  • Learn the importance of walking in the shoes of the customer
  • See how the right collaboration creates a high performing team

SPEAKER'S REEL

This short video highlights Kupe and his Keynote speaking ability.
Kupe’s presentation was fantastic! His ability to capture an audience and energize the room is amazing. He is absolutely one of the best presenters I have seen. Extremely talented.

Colleen Schulz, Director - Business relationship Manager at OneAmerica
I would like to recommend Kupe to anyone who is thinking of bringing in a speaker or consultant. Before engaging Kupe, during the negotiation process, I found him to be very personable and easy to work with, and I was impressed by his expertise. Once engaged, he got (and continues to get) rave reviews for the results he delivered. The expectations were high, and Kupe exceeded them!

Bill Marut, Business Analyst, Chubb Insurance
Kupe is a natural on stage. He commands the audience and is extremely genuine. Many of our participants were able to relate and put into practice the key topics covered.

Donna Betancourt, Enterprise Architect, The Hartford
Unscripted and amazing. It is hard to get project managers out of their shell but Kupe had us out of our seats, laughing, doing crazy things and secretly teaching us before we knew what hit us. Laughter truly is the best medicine and I would prescribe Kupe for your next event if you need a fantastic speaker who knows the profession of Project Management and Business Analysis.

Kenneth Watkins, President, PMI Memphis
We (IIBA MSP) brought Kupe in to be our Keynote speaker for our chapter’s professional development day. Kupe knocked it out of the park. He captivated the crowd of 400 and challenged traditional views while keeping the energy high. I would highly recommend Kupe as a speaker and trainer. We look forward to having him back at next year’s PDD.

Jon Firnstahl, (former) President, MSP IIBA Chapter
Kupe brought his ‘A game’ when he presented to the Louisville IIBA Chapter. His discussion on Improvisation was engaging, fun and insightful. The chapter members and guests had nothing but high praise for Kupe and his topic. On behalf of the entire Louisville IIBA board, we highly recommend Kupe.
